Robert O’Connor is a freelance writer, editor, photographer and web designer. His work has appeared in newspapers, magazines, websites, radio in six countries on three continents, including the New Indian Express, Shanghaiist, 3:AM, Spike Magazine, Gapersblock, the Chi-Town Daily News, Lumpen, Proximity, Mash Tun, Hot Press and The Twin Cities Daily Planet. He has edited magazines for the Public Media Institute and books for the Chicago Center for Literature and Photography (CCLaP). In 2015 he wrote, edited and photographed Hiroshima, Nagasaki: An Illustrated History, Anthology, and Guide for Odyssey Publications.
Robert is a member of the Osaka-Chicago Sister Cities Committee, the Hong Kong Business Association of the Midwest, the Pacific Asia Travel Association New York chapter and a young professional at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Roosevelt University in Chicago.
